Scientists track heart drug in tiniest patients

NCT ID NCT06613477

Summary

This study aims to learn how infants born with a severe heart defect called single ventricle disease process the heart medication digoxin. Researchers will collect small blood samples from up to 20 infants during their regular medical care to measure drug levels and heart-related proteins. The goal is to gather information to help doctors better understand how to dose this medication for future babies, but being in the study does not change a child's current treatment plan.
