Heart drug tested in fight against ALS nerve damage

Summary

This trial is testing if digoxin, an FDA-approved heart medication, is safe and tolerable for people with early ALS (within 2 years of symptoms). It will also check if the drug can slow the progression of nerve damage by measuring a specific blood protein. The study involves 40 participants who will take the oral drug for 24 weeks.
