Wearable sensors aim to predict falls in ALS patients

NCT ID NCT05271435

Summary

This study is testing whether digital tools can help track the progression of motor neuron diseases like ALS. For 48 weeks, 20 participants will wear activity sensors on their neck and wrist and complete digital assessments of speech and handwriting at home. The goal is to see if these tools can detect changes in movement and balance that relate to a person's self-reported function and risk of falling.
