Can a computer program and a friendly coach ease depression for isolated seniors?
NCT ID NCT06584422
Summary
This study is testing a special online therapy program called Empower@Home, designed to help homebound older adults who are feeling depressed. The program uses interactive lessons based on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and is supported by weekly check-in calls from trained community coaches. Researchers will compare this program to standard care to see if it better reduces depression symptoms and improves quality of life over 36 weeks.
