Can your phone help fight opioid addiction? new app tested for women

NCT ID NCT05776966

Summary

This study tested whether a special smartphone app designed for women could help them stick with their medication treatment for opioid addiction. About 40 women who had recently started treatment were randomly assigned to either use the app along with their usual care or to receive usual care alone. Researchers wanted to see if the app was easy to use and if women liked it, and to get an early idea if it helped them stay engaged in their treatment program over 12 weeks.
