NCT ID NCT05749952
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to create prosthetic sockets using a digital system that scans the leg while the person stands (weight-bearing). The goal was to see if this method leads to a better fit, more comfort, and improved skin health compared to traditional non-weight-bearing scanning. Ten adults with below-knee amputations took part, and the researchers measured skin moisture and blood flow to assess outcomes.
