Summary
This study tested two different at-home digital programs to see which one works better for managing chronic pain. Researchers mailed either a virtual reality headset or a smartphone app manual to 330 adults with chronic pain living in rural areas. Participants used their assigned program for 8 weeks and reported on their pain levels, mood, and medication use to see which approach provided more relief.
