Can a daily chat with a digital companion ease dementia symptoms?
NCT ID NCT07237009
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily digital app that helps people reminisce about personal memories can improve symptoms like low mood, lack of motivation, and poor sleep in older adults with mild cognitive impairment or early-stage dementia. Participants will use the app for about 10-15 minutes a day for 25 days, with a family member helping to add personal photos and stories. Researchers will measure changes in depression, apathy, sleep, and quality of life to see if the app helps.
