NCT ID NCT07528222
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether using a digital incentive spirometer (TryBreath) for 3 weeks could improve lung function and breathing muscle strength in 30 healthy adults aged 18 to 45. Participants used the device with a mobile app that gave real-time feedback. Researchers measured changes in lung capacity and breathing power before and after training.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
TryBreath Digital Incentive Spirometry System (device)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a simple digital tool to improve lung function in healthy people.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early study with only 30 healthy adults and no comparison group, so results may not apply to others or prove the device works better than no training.
