App aims to ease pain for dying patients at home

NCT ID NCT04869085

Summary

This study tested a digital app designed to help hospice patients and their caregivers manage pain at home. The app provides education about pain medication, makes it easier to report pain to nurses, and helps people follow their pain management plan. Researchers wanted to see if using this app could help reduce the pain experienced by patients receiving end-of-life care in their own homes.
