Summary
This study tests three digital support programs for cancer-related fatigue. 372 adults with cancer who have moderate to severe fatigue will use a mobile app with educational content, and some will also get a self-management program based on cognitive behavioural therapy, either self-guided or with a psychologist. The goal is to see which approach best reduces fatigue burden.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- mobile app with educational content and optional self-management program based on cognitive behavioural therapy
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could provide an effective, accessible digital tool to help cancer patients manage fatigue without extra clinic visits.
- What could go wrong
- This is a relatively early-stage trial testing different app features, so the best approach may not prove clearly better than basic education. Fatigue is subjective and results may vary.
