Could your diet help beat cancer? new trial tests Food's power to boost melanoma treatment
NCT ID NCT06466434
Summary
This study is testing whether adding specific prebiotic foods to the diet can improve gut health and help people with advanced melanoma respond better to their first-line immunotherapy treatment. Researchers will enroll 75 patients starting immunotherapy and provide them with a special diet for 12 weeks, followed by a maintenance phase. The main goal is to see if the diet increases certain beneficial gut bacteria, while also tracking treatment response, side effects, and survival.
