Diet showdown: which eating plan best fights belly fat and metabolic problems?
NCT ID NCT07314177
Summary
This study compared three different weight-loss diets over 12 weeks to see which works best for improving body composition and metabolic health. Forty-five adults with overweight or obesity followed either a traditional Mediterranean diet, a Mediterranean low-carb diet, or a high-protein diet, all with reduced calories. Researchers measured changes in weight, body fat, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and other markers to guide future dietary recommendations.
