Can your diet slow Parkinson's? new study tests gut connection
NCT ID NCT06207136
Summary
This study is testing whether following a Mediterranean-style diet for 18 months can help manage Parkinson's disease symptoms by influencing gut health. Researchers will compare this special diet to standard eating habits in 40 people with Parkinson's, tracking symptoms, gut bacteria changes, and how easy it is to stick to the diet. The goal is to gather information for a larger future study on whether dietary changes could help control Parkinson's progression.
