Summary

This study is testing whether making national healthy eating guidelines more culturally relevant helps African American adults improve their diets and lower their risk for type 2 diabetes. Researchers are comparing three different healthy eating patterns over one year to see which works best. The goal is to find community-friendly ways to present dietary advice that leads to real health improvements.
