Summary
This study aimed to find out if drinking diet sodas or water is better for people managing type 2 diabetes. Researchers followed 181 adults with diabetes for 24 weeks, having one group drink three servings of diet soda daily and another drink three servings of water. They measured blood sugar control, weight, and other health markers to see if the common practice of switching to diet drinks is truly beneficial.
