NCT ID NCT03924778
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether a calorie-controlled DASH diet (heart-healthy eating plan) affects weight and gut bacteria differently than a standard American diet. Twenty-eight black and white women with obesity will follow one of the two diets for 4 weeks. Researchers will collect stool samples to see how gut microbes change, aiming to understand why obesity rates differ between racial groups.
