Scientists probe Diet's hidden role in colon cancer
NCT ID NCT04666727
Summary
This small pilot study aims to understand how a person's diet might change the bacteria in their gut and whether those changes could lead to cell damage that starts colon cancer. Researchers are comparing people who eat vegetarian diets with those who eat omnivorous diets. Participants will answer diet questions and provide stool, blood, and tissue samples during a routine colonoscopy.
