Can your diet slow memory loss? new study tests Food's power on the aging brain

NCT ID NCT06121986

Summary

This study is testing whether following a Mediterranean diet or a modified ketogenic diet can improve gut health and potentially slow cognitive decline in older adults, some of whom have mild memory problems. Researchers are working with 61 participants from rural communities to see if these dietary programs are practical to follow and if they lead to measurable changes in the body linked to brain health. The goal is to find a scalable way to help support cognitive aging through nutrition.
