Fasting diet trial aims to turn back the clock for menopausal women

NCT ID NCT07378787

Summary

This study is testing whether combining time-restricted eating (eating within an 8-hour daily window) with a low-glycemic Mediterranean diet can improve memory, metabolic health, and signs of aging in women going through perimenopause or menopause. Researchers will compare 72 women following this plan for 12 weeks to a group not changing their diet. They will measure brain function, blood markers, body composition, and gut health to see if this lifestyle approach helps.
