Death chat: could a 2-Hour talk ease our fear of dying?

NCT ID NCT07525492

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a program called Die-logue, where middle-aged adults (40-60) join a group discussion about death and then watch online videos on advance care planning. Researchers want to see if this improves their attitudes toward death, ability to cope, and readiness to make end-of-life plans. Half the participants get the group talk plus online education, while the other half only get the online education. The goal is to understand if open conversations about death can help people feel more prepared.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could show that simple group discussions about death help people feel more prepared for end-of-life planning.
