New gel could mean fewer applications for knee pain relief
NCT ID NCT06729073
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested how much of the pain-relieving drug diclofenac enters the bloodstream when applied as a gel to the knees. 34 healthy volunteers used a new once-daily gel (AMZ001) and a standard four-times-daily gel for 7 days each. The goal was to compare drug levels and check safety, not to treat any disease.
