Summary

This study looked at 388 people with end-stage kidney disease to see if starting dialysis at the right time, based on a new mathematical formula, could lower death rates and improve quality of life. Participants were split into groups that started dialysis earlier or later according to the formula. The goal was to find out which timing leads to better survival and fewer heart-related problems.
