VA tests smart fluid removal to make dialysis safer
NCT ID NCT04163614
Summary
This study is testing a new, personalized strategy for managing fluid in veterans on dialysis. It aims to see if using a patient's own recent blood pressure patterns to guide how much fluid is removed is better than the standard approach. The goal is to better control fluid overload and high blood pressure while reducing dangerous drops in blood pressure during treatment.
