Can better education help kidney patients get ready for dialysis?
NCT ID NCT05997875
Summary
This study is testing three different educational approaches to help people with advanced kidney disease prepare for the surgery needed to create vascular access for hemodialysis. Researchers will compare standard education, a video and brochure package, and that same package plus coaching sessions to see which best helps patients understand their options and move forward with treatment. The goal is to learn which method most effectively supports patients during this important medical decision.
