Summary
This study compared two different wound dressings for treating diabetic foot ulcers. 148 adults with diabetes and a foot ulcer that had been present for at least 4 weeks were randomly assigned to receive either a new borate-based glass fiber dressing or a standard calcium alginate dressing, along with standard wound care. The main goal was to see which dressing helped more ulcers heal completely within 12 weeks.
