Researchers hunt for hidden causes behind diabetic foot sores
NCT ID NCT07193992
Summary
This study aims to identify which non-vascular factors—like nerve damage, poor blood sugar control, or nutrition—make diabetic foot ulcers worse or more likely to come back. It will observe 100 adults with diabetes and existing foot ulcers for one year, tracking wound size, healing, and recurrence. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors better predict risk and improve future prevention strategies.
