New program aims to stop diabetic foot amputations

Summary
This study is testing whether a 'patient navigator' can help people heal their diabetic foot ulcers faster. A navigator is a coach who helps coordinate care, find resources, and overcome barriers after leaving the hospital. Researchers will compare healing rates over 20 weeks for 270 patients who either receive this extra support or get their usual medical care.
