Can a simple training program help diabetic foot patients survive disasters?
NCT ID NCT07385833
Summary
This study tested whether an educational program could help people with diabetic foot ulcers prepare for emergencies like natural disasters. 68 participants either received special training on creating emergency kits and managing foot care during crises, or received their usual care. Researchers measured whether the training improved their disaster readiness, foot care confidence, and self-care behaviors.
