Can smart insulin pumps ease the stress of eating with diabetes?
NCT ID NCT07348432
Summary
This study aims to understand if newer automated insulin delivery systems affect eating behaviors and food-related stress in people with type 1 diabetes. Researchers will observe 106 youth and adults in Canada to see if these technologies allow for more flexibility with carb counting while maintaining stable blood sugar. The goal is to gather evidence to improve nutrition guidelines and potentially reduce the burden of strict food management.
