Videos and veggies: new approach aims to stop diabetes in At-Risk community
NCT ID NCT05492916
Summary
This study tested a program designed to help Chinese immigrants in New York City prevent type 2 diabetes. 150 participants with prediabetes were assigned to either receive the program or wait. The program included weekly educational videos delivered through WeChat and access to a community-supported agriculture (CSA) program for fresh produce. Researchers measured changes in weight, diet, and activity over 6 months to see if this combined approach was effective.
