Easier labor rules for diabetes? study tests relaxed blood sugar targets

NCT ID NCT07293715

Summary

This study is for pregnant people with type 1 diabetes who use an insulin pump system. It compares two different blood sugar target ranges during labor and delivery. The goal is to see if a more relaxed target is just as safe for the newborn's first blood sugar level as the current, stricter target. This could help make the birth experience less stressful for the mother.
