Phone-Based coaching aims to help african americans better manage diabetes
NCT ID NCT02088658
Summary
This study tested whether combining telephone-delivered diabetes education with home blood sugar monitoring could help African American adults with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes. Researchers enrolled 200 participants to see if this culturally tailored, technology-supported approach could improve long-term blood sugar levels over 12 months. The goal was to find better ways to help manage diabetes and reduce complications in this higher-risk community.
