Scientists probe if diabetes drug changes what you crave

NCT ID NCT02674893

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the diabetes medication liraglutide (Victoza®) changes eating behavior in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers compared three groups: patients starting the drug, similar patients not on the drug, and healthy volunteers. They measured changes in food cravings, taste preferences, and salivation over several months to learn more about the drug's effects.
