Study finds extra support helps doctors manage diabetes better
NCT ID NCT00258674
Summary
This study tested different ways to help doctors provide better care for older adults with diabetes. Researchers gave some doctors feedback reports on their patients' test results and care, while other clinics also received a dedicated diabetes nurse to help coordinate care. The goal was to see if these strategies led to more patients getting recommended tests and achieving healthier blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure levels.
