New program aims to close diabetes care gap for uninsured minorities

NCT ID NCT06643611

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether providing uninsured Black and Hispanic patients with continuous glucose monitors and access to a clinical pharmacist could help them better manage their type 2 diabetes. The goal was to see if this combined support could improve blood sugar control, medication use, and quality of life. The results will help decide if this approach should be offered more widely within the healthcare system.
