Scientists seek perfect Omega-3 dose for Plant-Based diets
NCT ID NCT06294067
Summary
This study aimed to understand how much DHA, an omega-3 fat from algae, is needed to trigger a specific change in blood levels of another omega-3 fat called EPA. Researchers gave 72 healthy vegetarians and vegans one of six different daily DHA doses for eight weeks and tracked changes in their blood. The goal was to gather scientific data to help inform future dietary recommendations for these nutrients.
