First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study compares two forms of DHA (a type of omega-3 fat) in 153 older adults aged 55-82 who have early signs of memory decline. One group takes a special form called LPC-DHA, the other takes standard DHA, for 24 weeks. Researchers measure DHA levels in spinal fluid and blood, along with brain health markers, to see which form works better.
