Brain food Face-Off: can a special DHA pill slow memory loss?
NCT ID NCT06933095
Summary
This study is comparing two different forms of a brain nutrient called DHA to see which one is better at getting into the brain and spinal fluid of older adults who are noticing early signs of memory decline. Researchers will give 153 participants either one of the DHA supplements or a placebo for 24 weeks and measure nutrient levels and brain health markers. The goal is to find the most effective way to deliver DHA to the brain, which may help control the progression of cognitive issues.
