First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests a nasal spray medication (dexmedetomidine) to help women relax and stay comfortable while awake during breast-conserving surgery for breast cancer. About 394 women aged 20–70 will receive either the active spray or a placebo before surgery. Researchers will measure sedation levels, anxiety, pain, and satisfaction to see if the spray works better than a dummy spray.
