Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug dexmedetomidine during carotid artery surgery helps keep blood pressure more stable. About 44 adults having this surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either standard anesthesia alone or standard anesthesia plus dexmedetomidine. The goal is to see if the extra drug reduces the need for other blood pressure medications and improves safety during the procedure.
