First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a drug called dexmedetomidine during spine surgery can help keep eye pressure stable when patients are lying face down. High eye pressure during surgery can harm vision. The trial will include 60 adults having planned spine surgery and will measure eye pressure at several points. The goal is to see if this drug offers a simple way to protect eyes during these operations.
