First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study compared two common anti-nausea drugs, dexamethasone and ondansetron, in 100 healthy women having a planned or non-labor cesarean delivery. The goal was to see which medication works better as a first-line treatment to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting. Researchers measured how many extra medications were needed and how severe symptoms were in the 24 hours after surgery.
