Summary

This study tests whether a single 4 mg dose of dexamethasone, given as a shot under the gum before surgery, can reduce pain and difficulty opening the mouth after impacted lower wisdom tooth removal. 268 adults aged 18 to 55 will be randomly assigned to receive the steroid or standard care alone. Pain and mouth opening will be measured on days 2 and 7 after surgery.
