New approach aims to ease Kids' pain after major back surgery
NCT ID NCT06616220
Summary
This study tested if adding a common steroid (dexamethasone) to a standard pain-blocking injection could provide longer-lasting pain relief for children after scoliosis surgery. It involved 60 teenagers aged 10-18. The main goal was to see if this method could delay the need for strong opioid painkillers after the operation.
