Knee surgery recovery: does how you get your steroid pill matter?

NCT ID NCT07442812

Summary

This study aims to see if the way a common steroid (dexamethasone) is given—by mouth or through an IV—affects pain and recovery right after knee replacement surgery. It will observe 99 patients who are already scheduled for surgery, following their normal doctor's plan without changing their care. The main goal is to compare pain levels, mobility, and nausea between the different administration methods.
