New scan aims to spot silent heart damage from cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT04044872
Summary
This study tested a new type of MRI scan to see if it could detect early, hidden damage to the heart caused by radiation therapy for left-sided breast or chest cancer. The goal was to find this damage before it causes symptoms or visible heart problems. Only a few patients were enrolled in this early, terminated feasibility study.
