Summary
This study tested two common anesthesia drugs, desflurane and sevoflurane, in 81 elderly patients (60+) having non-cardiac surgery. The goal was to see which drug helps patients wake up and recover thinking skills faster after surgery. Researchers measured how quickly patients opened their eyes, followed commands, and were ready to leave the recovery room.
