Could a drug that calms inflammation help restore joy in depression?

Summary
This study is testing whether a drug that blocks a specific immune signal (IL-6) can help improve the brain's reward system and reduce the loss of pleasure in adults with major depression. Up to 20 participants with depression and signs of immune system activation will receive the drug for 8 weeks, while 20 healthy volunteers provide comparison data. Researchers will use brain scans and symptom surveys to see if calming inflammation helps people with depression feel pleasure again.
