Magnetic pulses target depression in spinal injury patients

NCT ID NCT04263285

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment called rTMS is safe and helpful for reducing depression in people with spinal cord injuries. Fourteen participants with depression and cervical or thoracic spinal cord injuries will receive magnetic stimulation treatments five days a week for four weeks. Researchers will monitor safety and check if depressive symptoms improve, which could lead to better treatment options for this population.
